Workshops and Training

  1. Sponsored Programs Academy for Continuing Education

The S.P.A.C.E. program offers comprehensive research administration training to ensure that members of the Rutgers research community have a solid understanding of the  university's processes. The courses available through this certificate program will guide you through the various stages of a sponsored program's lifecycle, including pre- and post-award management, compliance, risk management, intellectual property, and much more.

  2. Training for Rutgers Research Administration and Proposal Submission System

Online and in-class training is available for RAPSS, the university-wide system used for processing all grants and contracts.

  3. Research Administrators Information Network (RAIN)

RAIN is a self-described group of administrators that are involved with pre- or post-award functions within the university.  RAIN members work in the central offices, at the school or unit level and are collectively responsible for administrative support throughout the sponsored-program life-cycle.  Hosted by the pre- and post-award directors from the Office of Research and Economic Development, the RAIN group meets monthly throughout the year to discuss topics relating to sponsored programs.  All personnel involved with research administration are encouraged to attend RAIN meetings and/or join the RAIN listserve for important announcements and information that impacts sponsored programs.  The RAIN meeting schedule and the link to subscribe to the listserve is available on the RSP homepage
