This orientation is for new faculty and staff on research administration at Rutgers University. Participating departments include the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate and Professional Education, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, Division of Grant and Contract Accounting, the new Office of Technology Commercialization (formerly Office of Corporate Liaison and Tech Transfer) and Corporate & Foundation Relations. Each office will give a broad overview of their services and responsibilities.

I'm new to research at Rutgers. Where do I start?

This question and others will be addressed by representatives from both the pre-and post-award research offices and other Rutgers professionals involved in fostering research at Rutgers.

• How do we help you with proposal preparation and submission of your proposals to external sponsors?
• Now that I have received an award, who sets up my account and how do I access the funds?
• What are Rutgers' copyright and intellectual property policies and procedures?
• How do I navigate the compliance regulations and requirements?
• Who can help me raise seed money for new initiatives?
