5/29/07  Transition to Adobe Forms – Not through end of July

For those of you that are concerned about NIH deadlines through the month of July, NIH will not be using the Adobe Forms for any submission dates on or before the end of July. We are still waiting to test forms and have not finalized the transition plans. As soon as full migration plans are finalized, they will be distributed through the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts, the eSubmission listservs, and in presentations.

5/10/07  New Mac OS Updates Cause Serious Problems with PureEdge

Announced on May 4th by the NIH eSubmissions Items of Interest listserv. The latest security updates issued by Apple prevent users from modifying PureEdge forms. Grants.gov has notified IBM about the problem and Apple advises not to rollback the updates.

If you have not applied the Mac OS updates and have grants.gov submissions coming up you may want to consider not applying the updates until the problem is resolved.

If you already have, Grants.gov has a workaround under "Mac OS X security patch disables IBM Workplace Forms (PureEdge) Viewer." We have a Mac Laptop and found this new version works perfectly after update.
